Sunday Special
My fears about being found out as a dissenter seem to be unfounded. The local paper had not only no pictures of the ceremony, but no write-up either! So my secret life as a dissenter remains, basically, a secret.
But this got me to thinking, a dangerous act these days. Could I be, in a sense, allowing Bush and the war party to get to me. The simple fact that I was scared of what could happen should I be found out seems to imply that the idea that dissent is somehow unpatriotic seems to imply this.
I also admit that the fact that the area I live in currently is probably as close to being like Bush "Flyover Country" as I've been in awhile may be a factor in why I was so worried. But there was nothing to fear at all!
