Daily Report--Bastile Day Edition

Training For Torture

The Washington Post reports that interrogators at Guantanamo Bay used the techniques used at Abu Gharib months before.

While a committee does not regard the techniques as torture per se, the report gives evidence that the techniques were not the acts of overzealous soldiers.

Brits Connect The Dots

Angus Reid Consultants reports results of a poll that states %72 of British Adults agree that Britian's role in Iraq has made their country more vulnerable to terrorism.

The poll also shows support for maintaining close support for America in Iraq and opposition to troop withdrawal.
